Population: Me!
I have been dealt a dose of reality in the last couple of weeks as to just how unfit I have become. Before I had bubby, I was doing boot camps and fairly regular exercise, however now I can hardly do anything! I can't say I'm too surprised, I haven't really done very much physical activity since she was born, aside from walking around shopping centres (for their air conditioning!).
I did look in to the mother/baby boot camps around town, but decided that bubby was now a bit old to expect her to sit happily in the pram (or sleep!) while I exercised, so instead we went and bought an elliptical machine. I'm very pleased with it, we got a great deal on a good quality machine so that is good.
However - goodness me I am unfit! I'm really going to need to work up to my old time/intensity as I don't want to overdo it (and never get back on the machine!). I'm enjoying being able to get some exercise at home while hubby takes care of bubby, and I plan to use it at night after she is in bed too once she is staying asleep for longer than 1 hours after going to sleep (that is another story altogether!).
Oh, I forgot to list my weigh in for week 2, but there was no change at all. I'm not surprised, I know that it takes less than 1200 calories for me to lose any weight and I'm not yet able to do that while breastfeeding.
Anyway, better get off to bed before missy wakes up again!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend :)

Week 1 weigh in!
Well after one week back on the wagon, I'm happy to report a loss of 1.4kg (3 lb), bringing me down to 92.1kg (203 lb). I'm very much looking forward to being under 200 lb again and hopefully can report that next week.
I feel pretty good about the loss, I don't want to go too much faster as I am concerned about losing my milk supply which I've heard can happen with too much calorie restriction. I stayed around 1500 calories every day, although MFP is automatically adjusting for my fitbit activity so some days were slightly more.
I'm hoping to pick up the exercise this week, investigating a few mum and bub classes so I can take bubby with me.
Hope everyone has had a great week!

Hello Again!!
Goodness me it has been a very long time and for that I am sorry! I have a very good excuse though, I've been off having a baby! Our little bundle of joy is now 8 months old, and I feel it's time I get back to the weight loss.
Now, when I originally disappeared from blog land, it wasn't because I was doing badly, in fact I was at my lowest ever weight. First appointment at the OB I weighed in at 69kg (152 pounds!). At about 23wks I had some fluid out of my band, as I was having trouble eating anything really. I think the baby was squishing everything up! So I went down to about 5ml in my 10ml band.
This was the beginning of an upward swing in my weight, mainly due to me eating bread again. I spent a lot of time with people who didn't know about my band, and found I could eat like a normal person. Lesson here; just because I could, doesn't mean I should!
I left hospital with a 3.09kg (6pound 13ouncrs) baby, weighing 88kg (194 pounds). Eek! The next 8 months were not my finest when it comes to eating. A baby who didn't sleep much, lots of drive through, and plenty of just sitting on my ass has led to a final weight of 93.5 kg. argh!!!!!
So time to get it off. Back to band basics, but not 800 calories/day yet as I'm still breastfeeding and all sources tell me that would be a bad idea. I'm aiming for around 1500/day.
It's currently Day 2 of starting over and I'm feeling ok, but quite hungry at times. Think I will make an appointment to get some of that fill back in.
Anyway!! Enough for now. Sorry it's been so long!! Love to you all xoxo
